Searching different colors or styles will generate a ton of images and should be able to pick out a few that relate to your brand. I'll search for a color or word that I like and download several images that I feel belong together. When I find myself struggling what I'll do is head over to All the Free Stock to get an idea of photos that inspire me. You can find inspiration pretty much anywhere. They really help brainstorm ideas for your brand and are a good reference to have when creating graphics for your website and social media. You don't have to be a designer to have a need for a mood board - I've seen them used for interior design, photography, fashion, decoration, branding, web design, wedding planning etc. They are tool used typically by designers to help visually convey a design idea to a client in order to agree on style. WHAT IS A MOOD BOARD?īack during your school days, do you remember grabbing one of those giant white poster boards and going crazy by cutting and pasting images and texts from a magazine or newspaper?
